natural is beautiful (and delicious!)

This is the best grilled cheese sandwich I’ve ever had. Leave it to the Natural Cafe to take a simple dish and make it both more nutritious (it has freshly sliced tomatoes in it) and more tasty (three types of cheese). The Natural Cafe is a great place for herbivores and omnivores alike, offering dishes that are light and tasty — and very affordable (which is a real accomplishment in Santa Barbara). It’s one of the restaurants I miss the most, and one that I try to go to every time I’m in town. This is a must-try if you’re ever in the area!

  1. Natural Cafe in Santa Barbara is SO good. Especially the one in downtown. Great menu and good staff-you’re in out and enjoy every bite. I personally love the cobb salad with tahini dressing, beyond words good. I hear the enchiladas and burger are also really good too! I always try and stop off whenever I find myself in the area. Hopefully within the next few months I can go get some more delicious salads. Love that it was so close to my hotel-the Sandman Inn ( Affordable and let me spend my money on more useful things-like delicious food!

  2. I have been a long-time fan of Natural Cafe–beginning with the one in Santa Barbara and moving on to wherever I’ve been that they have one. The grilled cheese has been my favorite lunch choice, but no more. They’ve changed the bread–it’s like tan, toasted salty styrofoam.
